NEAA Participated in the Annual ENQA Forum in Paphos, Cyprus
The NEAA took part in ENQA’s annual Member’s Forum which was held between 9–11 April 2025 in the city of Paphos, Republic of Cyprus. The event consisted of a conference and a meeting of the ENQA General Assembly.
The forum was hosted by the Cyprus Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA). The event was opened with welcoming addresses by the Mayor of Paphos, Phedonas Phedonos, and Douglas Blackstock, President of ENQA.
Presentations at the forum focused on themes such as sustainability in higher education, student engagement, and human resource issues in the context of quality assurance processes in higher education.
Parallel sessions were also held, during which ENQA representatives presented potential future changes to the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) as well as to the Association’s policies.
During the forum, a meeting of the ENQA General Assembly took place, where NEAA was represented by Prof. Dr. Rosen Stoyanov with voting rights. The General Assembly discussed the external review report of ENQA’s agency review structure, as well as ENQA’s annual activity report, financial report, and audit report. NEAA was also represented at the forum events by Dyani Kurulenko, Junior Expert in International Cooperation at the Agency.
